It is perhaps one of the greatest tragedies of our time that neither you or I will live to see the age of interstellar exploration.
All that is left to us, is to imagine what is out there, telling stories of adventures set in a future that might someday be. With its feet firmly rooted in science and history, TraVerse allows you to experience adventures on yet-to-be discovered alien worlds that live, for now, only in our imagination.
And of course, fire a few lasers along the way.
Back in 2017, work began on a game. At the beginning it was just a little project for fun, because a group of D&D players wanted to play some spacefaring science fiction adventures at their tabletop. The problem was, nobody seemed to be making the game we wanted to play.
So we made our own.
None of us could have predicted this project would get to this point. Yet, it would seem, here we are.
TraVerse is a love letter to science fiction. Rooted in the sci-fi stories of our childhoods and inspired by the tabletop games, video games, tv shows, and movies we experienced as teenagers and adults, this game has taken shape. Its technology, creatures, planets, starships, and factions each grounded in real biology, physics, and history.
To us, this grounded direction just felt right, and lends a certain narrative weight to the tense conflicts, captivating plotlines, and moral questions the genre of sci-fi allows you to explore.
TraVerse is a science fiction tabletop roleplaying game set roughly four centuries in our future. It allows you and your fellow crewmates to explore the untamed wilderness of alien planets, engage in tense gunfights among the bustling streets of futuristic megacities, delve into the silent wrecks of derelict starships, and experience countless other adventures while rolling dice alongside your friends.
As a GM, TraVerse provides a robust set of tools to craft these adventures, and as a player, it gives you the options that allow you to fully realize all those awesome futuristic characters you’ve always imagined playing someday.
Similar to what Dungeons & Dragons does for fantasy, TraVerse does for sci-fi. Providing a home for you and your group to experience futuristic starfaring stories of your own. At your table, under your terms.
Welcome to the future. Make it yours.
